Big hit

The favorite item in the baskets this year were the glitter balls. They loved them. Even Joseph got a small one that he loved to mouth-gum-gnaw on.

Easter Eggs

I forgot to post a picture of Joseph with his basket in the previous post. The bunny didn't leave him clues. It was just next to his crib. He got a sippy cup, some baby yogurt and cereal puffs. Love the morning hair Seph-Seph!

Each of the older boys got a chocolate egg with their name on it. They all thought it was special, but you can see Liam's expression... a little magic for another year or so.

Easter Baskets

Okay, I know. I am over due to post Easter.
You see this year Easter Sunday fell on the first Sunday of April - which to Latter-day Saints is General Conference weekend. Our prophet and apostles speak to us from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are lucky enough to have BYU-TV as cable channel here in San Antonio, Texas, so we stay in our PJ's and listen to our leaders. I have to admit, it is a nice relaxed Easter! (even if we did have 8-10 hours of Conference!)

Alec's family Easter Bunny always left clues to the baskets. So that is what our Bunny does too. The first clue is always by their bed in the morning. This year the Bunny thought it would be funny to have Hewy run all over the house looking for his next clue only to be led right back to his MESSY bedroom to discover the basket. Only when the clue led him to the rocking chair in his bedroom he looked and looked for the next clue and totally missed the basket of candy! When I asked, what do you see? He said, dirty clothes, toys, a sock, a sword, a basket of candy...

Liam was quick like a rabbit this year to find his basket.

The Bunny was tougher on Noble this year. His clues took some real thinking and made him put his head in the game first thing in the morning. This may have had something to do with Alec's Dad visiting.

Easter 2009

This year, because we have church at 9am, we told the Easter Bunny not to come until after church. It made for an easier morning! When we returned home from church the boys first clues to find their baskets were taped to the garage door! Sneaky Rabbit.

Noble really liked his "look" this year.

One of the favorites this year, and most likely a new tradition, was the carton of Cascarones that each boy got in their basket. (cascarones are confetti filled eggs that you smash on peoples heads.) They are popular around here during fiesta but they also have them for Easter. In the past the boys have always wanted their own, and now they have them!
See the confetti in their hair below!

Hewy Easter 09

Little kids make holidays so much fun.
Hewy really enjoyed running from clue to clue to find the next clue and eventually his basket. He receives a new rubber ducky every year - this year it was green! He really liked the chocolate rabbit too. He is at such a fun age for holidays and traditions.
